Whether you're brewing your first batch or your fifty first batch, Brewhalla will help you have a successful brew day. Producing an amazing beer at Brewhalla in Billings is a two visit process: first to brew and the second to bottle. Our experienced staff will help you with each step along the way so you can enjoy the process and the end product. We have 6 brewing stations available, so feel free to bring a few friends along. Each brewing station can accommodate up to 4 people. If your group consists of more than 4 people you may reserve multiple stations, or even the entire venue.
The first step is simple...call us or visit our appointments page to reserve your kettle space and time. Just let us know which one of our recipes you would like to brew, and we will have everything ready for you when you arrive for your brew day. Alternatively, if you have your own recipe you would like to brew, forward the recipe to us and we can assist with that also. Each of our brew stations can brew 5, 10, or 15 gallon batches. Every 5 gallons brewed will produce approximately 2 cases of finished beer. Pricing is typically 5 gallons for $150, 10 gallons for $250 and 15 gallons for $300, but may differ depending on recipe selected. Beer brewing is always more fun with friends and family involved, so each reservation includes space for up to 4 people. If you would like to invite more people, simply reserve 2 or more stations.
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your reserved time to discuss the brew system, setup and safety procedures. We will show you where all your ingredients are located. Then you collect your ingredients, mill your grains if required for your recipe, add in any extracts needed, add hops as needed for your recipe. This unfermented beer is called "wort". We will provide you with a copy of the recipe for you to follow, a timer for each of your steps, and all the tools necessary for your brew day. Now get your brew cooking and sit back and enjoy the time. The work is almost over since we are taking care of the cleanup! Before you leave, make sure you schedule a time to return to bottle your beer. From start to finish your brew day will consist of about 2-3 hours.
After your brew day, we will care for your brew in our temperature controlled fermentation room along with a log that will allow you to see the progress.
After your beer is ready, you will come in to bottle your beer. Most beers will be ready to bottle in about 2 weeks, but may differ depending on style. We will let you know what to expect at your brew session. Your first case of bottles is included in your brew price and any additional bottles may be purchased at a cost of $10/case for either 12 ounce or 22 ounce bottles. Just let us know when you come in for your brew day how many cases you would like. We will bring your beer to your bottling station after ensuring your bottles are properly sanitized and free of scale and any potential contaminates. You should plan 1-2 hours for bottling. Now head on home to enjoy the fruits of your labor and share your creation with family and friends!
If you are ready to make some great beer and even better memories, call now to reserve your space.
